An entrepreneur is someone who puts together a business venture and sets it into action and takes the risks of new business ventures. We all have goals, dreams and ideas of starting a new business or company yet many times these are just ideas and not put into action. Entrepreneurs make it their passion and profession to put these dreams and business endeavors into action and take the many risks of doing so. They assume the significant risks and outcomes and results.
Why would someone take the risk of starting business ventures and not go for a “real job” or a more “secure” paycheck? It takes an enterprising spirit and attitude to do so and those who are entrepreneurs aren’t happy working for someone else and/or have to do their own thing as they can’t have their wings “clipped”. These types of people thrive in business risk taking and focus on managing their risks.
Everything in life is a risk. Even a full time position at a “solid” company that has been in business for decades is a risk. We all know this too well during these tough economic times. Entrepreneurs have the passion of taking these risks and managing them. They are innovators and are willing to take the risks and challenges in order to reap the benefits (on many levels) that come with starting new business and new business ventures.
