South Beach Miami Spring Break 2011

I just got back from a recent trip to South Beach and Miami Beach and what a Spring Break they are hosting! Celebrities, musicians, conventions, spring breakers, and more kept the place bumping! Hotels are filled to the max with very limited vacancies and rooms start at $300 per night! Rooms that normally cost $80 a night are going for that much and more as everyone wants a piece of the Miami Spring Break 2011 action.

I didn’t mind the cheering crowds who were there to see the Miami Heat at the American Airlines Arena. It was all in good sporting fun! Business suits and swimsuits mixed and mingled as investors and businesses connected at the Miami International Investors Conference and many other conferences that were going on at various resorts. Spring breakers from around the world came to see and to be seen. The beaches were packed as all came to see the turquoise blue water that makes Miami so popular.

The weather wasn’t too hot or too cold. For the locals, a touch of brisk air made them put on jackets while vacationers from up north strip down to swimsuits. Miami is an eclectic city already with the new and old dancing together happily. Ancient churches and old motels and diners sit next to sky-rise modern glass condos. Just as the location, the people I saw were just as eccentric as the hip hop happening city on the beach.

Coconut palms swaying in the breeze, locals lunching at the outdoor cafes, tourists shopping for the greatest fashion finds, joggers trying out their new running shoes on the boardwalk, come one and all they are in Miami. All of the Western Hemisphere is on Spring Break during the month of March. All business conferences and conventions seem to meet during this month as well. And from the looks of things, it seems that they all are heading to Miami!
