Shriners are men from all over the globe who work with Shriners Hospitals for Children to care for the needs of children and their families. The members of Shriners comprise of people from different locations and occupations. Perhaps a Shriner is a salesman, a nurse, a father, or an entrepreneur. Regardless of his occupation and where he lives, he is united with other fellow Shriners through his morals and values. The love for helping others especially youngsters, developing relationships, and to do good all while having fun is what brings international Shriners together.
Shriners are brothers, fraternal brothers, who are united for a cause. As these men work to develop greater relationships and help children and families in need, they, in turn, acquire personal growth. As one grows personally, this extends into their personal and professional life and reaches far into the community. The reach continues throughout the world.
Shriners Hospitals for Children was founded in 1922 by Shriners International. Members assist by fundraising, doing hospital volunteer work, providing families in need with transportation, and more. The list of love and labor is endless. Hospitals provide children ages 18 and under with the medical care that they desperately need. Their is no charge to the families for these services. Shriners work with other supporters to collect the funds and other resources necessary to continue this work.
