Investing in farm lands, agriculture, and commodities – farmers may be the next millionaires

In a previous blog, I mentioned that agriculture and farm lands will most likely make farmers and investors the next millionaires. I still strongly believe this is going to happen. Just take a look at history and see for yourself. History does repeat itself even though we may not want it or want to accept it.

Right now real estate may not be the investment or purchase that most people would consider taking a part in. Yet those who are watching and have positioned or are positioning themselves get some great real estate bargains now. It is recommended and incredible wisdom to buy low, sell high. This is also a historical fact as many of the wealthy of done exactly this throughout the course of time century after century.

Empires have risen and empires have fallen. (What goes up must go down eventually). Wars, fears and hopes create speculation and speculation drives the market. As history has shown us there are peacefull times and times when the economy is booming. Yet Father Time also reveals that wars, natural disasters, government and political choices, injustices, and many other factors will continue to happen.

The recent floods and tornadoes across the midwest, Japan’s major earthquakes and aftershocks, as well as the economic issues with QE1 and QE2, the prices of commodities are rapidly increasing. The incredible rains which led to the corn belt in the midwest could not have been timed better to completely hinder farmers’ planting. The Texas drought has devastated wheat production. Along with the soaring oil and gas prices, food will continue to be more and more expensive. Needless to say, crops such as corn and wheat as well as commodities such as pork bellies will soar in the next few years if not sooner.

Those who are positioning themselves can take advantage of a market that will turn bullish in time. This market is real estate, particularly farm lands. In fact, many people around the world are purchasing agricultural land in order to lock in their potential fortune.

Not only is farm land and agricultural real estate a good investment and will make some people millionaires, farmers may also be the world’s next millionaires. The world population is living longer and growing at an enormous rate. We all need food to survive. Therefore, farmers are positioned to be in the right place at the right time if they can make it through the current happenings.

And life goes on, everything is turning full circle and history repeats itself.
